Tanzania March 2018 - Other Wildlife |

As mentioned on Page 1, I am splitting the photos by type of animal this time around. Please click on the following links to see the page you'd like to view: |

With most of the wildlife picked up on the named pages, this page is a "catch all" so we don't miss anything. The moth on the right was with us in the jeep for quite a while one day. The butterfly was just flitting around - it made a change from taking pictures of the vultures! |
This little mouse that Jonathon spotted (on the right) was probably hoping the eagles and other predators wouldn't be as keen-eyed. The one below was at the check point between Ngorongoro National Park and Serengeti National Park. |
Yes, Jonathon really is holding this beetle! |
I think this is a locust. At least three of these strange creatures took a fancy to me at dinner time on our first night at Dunia. Apparently they don't bite but I still don't particularly want to get that close to them. |
This family of baboons were enjoying the various grasses and, it seems, story time. |
Mr. & Mrs Agama Lizard |
This side-striped jackal was enjoying a very tasty breakfast. He kept a close eye on the lions that weren't far away. |
We spotted a Black Backed Jackal on a different game drive. |
Baboons - sleeping in the tree to get away from predators. |
These short tailed monkeys were making the most of the puddles created by the rain (those not still up in the trees from the night before). |
Rock Hyrax aren't Jonathon's favourite animals but they were there so they had their photo taken! |
Black-backed Jackals that we saw over a couple of days |

This Grant's gazelle was showing the golden jackal who was boss! |
These butterflies were not quite as dramatic but pretty nonetheless. |
